Aamir Khan was present for the Papa Kehte Hai 2.0 Song event in the city on Monday. While answering the question of Movie Talkies' reporter, Aamir shared his thoughts about the original song and film too. Watch the video below:
Aamir Khan said, "When we were making the film, Nasir Saab supported us since Mansoor Khan was making his first film. All of us in that film were new. It was DOP Kiran Deohan's first film. Music directors Anand-Milind were new, and so were Juhi Chawla, Udit Narayan, and Alka Yagnik. All of us were starting our careers."
Aamir continued, "We didn't know if the film would succeed. Whenever Mansoor and I watched the film, we only noticed its flaws. We always thought that this scene could have been better or that thing could have been changed.""We kept thinking about mistakes, and then the film was released one day. It went out of our hands. I think Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak was a milestone in Indian cinema. From 1988 onwards, you can see the shift happening. And Mansoor was the first director to bring that about. It's a special film for me," he concluded.
