PVR-Inox Made Rs. 1900 crore From Samosa and Popcorn Last Year; That's More Than Ticket Sales

PVR-Inox chain's financial data from 2023–2024 reveals some shocking details. The sales of popcorn, Samosa, and other beverages have made more profits for them than the ticket sales in the last financial year.

As per a report in Moneycontrol, the food and beverage business of PVRInox has grown faster than box office ticket sales. The report claims that revenue from F&B sales grew by 21%, while movie ticket sales registered 19% growth in the last financial year.

PVR-Inox made Rs. 1,958.4 crore through F&B sales against ₹1,618 crore in 2022-2023. This is a 21% increase from last year. Comparatively, ticket sales registered a spike of 19%, which is less than F&B sales. The movie ticket revenue for 2023–2024 was Rs. 3,279.9 crore, up from Rs. 2,751.4 crore in 2022–2023.
