Pushpa 2 beats RRR to become the BIGGEST Indian opener ever

Pushpa 2 has arrived with a bang! The much-awaited sequel to Pushpa (2021) now holds the record for the biggest opening day of all time in Indian cinema, with estimated gross collections of approximately 260 crore at the worldwide box office.

Pushpa 2 has now exceeded the numbers of SS Rajamouli's RRR (2022), featuring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR in lead roles. RRR collected 221 crore right after the pandemic, surpassing the record of Rajamouli's own Bahubali 2 (214 crore). Now, Pushpa 2 has broken that record by a significant margin, and it will be intriguing to see which film in the future will challenge this impressive total of the Allu Arjun starrer.

Pushpa Part 2 achieved a phenomenal day one at the Indian box office as well as in international markets. The domestic gross of the film is estimated to be approximately 190 crore, while international markets have contributed roughly 69-70 crore on day one. The global total for the film stands at 260 crore gross on the first day, shattering all previous records by a large margin. The film is expected to break more records in the coming days, particularly during the opening weekend and first week.
