Actors Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma have opened up about being victims of a devastating financial fraud carried out by someone they trusted deeply. In an emotional revelation to ETimes, the couple shared that they have lost their entire savings in the scam and are now starting their lives from scratch.

"These past 2-3 months have been extremely difficult for us and we have no idea what will happen next. We have been a victim of a fraudulent financial scam and we lost a huge amount," Puja said, visibly shaken. She added that despite the immense loss, they are determined to rebuild: "We don't want to give up. We believe in God. All we want is your support and prayers."

The couple refrained from naming the individual responsible, but stressed that the person had been extremely close to them for years. "When you trust someone for the past three years... he has been with you, became a part of your home and family..." Kunal shared, clearly distressed.

Puja revealed that Kunal has been deeply affected by the incident and that they had not even informed their families until now. "We have cried enough behind it. It was impossible for us to share it with our family but now with this video they will come to know."

Despite the emotional turmoil, the couple remains resilient. "We are deeply hurt but we don't want to give up at this point and come out stronger," Puja concluded.
