The recently released poster of Prithviraj Sukumaran from SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film GlobeTrotter, also known as Varanasi, has sparked hilarious reactions online. In the poster, Prithviraj is seen sitting on a wheelchair with mechanical hands attached to his back. Have a look below:

Many netizens feel that the look resembles previous film characters. Some pointed out similarities to Vivek Oberoi’s villain in Krrish 3, who was also mostly shown in a wheelchair. Others compared it to Doctor Octopus from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man series, who had mechanical arms extending from his back.

Netizens, including fans, have flooded social media with comments, memes, and jokes, suggesting that the poster seems inspired by these earlier films.

Despite the criticism, many are still excited to see Prithviraj’s performance and SS Rajamouli’s ambitious project, which promises high-end visual effects and action. GlobeTrotter is one of the most awaited films of the year. But starting the promotional campaign with such a weak poster definitely creates some tention. 

Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film stars Mahesh Babu in the lead role. Priyanka Chopra is the leading lady and Prithviraj Sukumaran is the main antagonist. The first teaser for the film will be unveiled on November 15 at an event.
