'Prince' Of Melodies Atif Aslam Turns 28!

A double celebration is in store for B'Townies as birthday girl and songstress Shreya Ghoshal also shares her special day with her tere liye co singer from across the border, Atif Aslam. The young Pakistani crooner who's taken the musical world by a storm adds another year to his rocking career as he turns 28.

Atif Aslam started his music career with the Pakistani band Jal, as their lead vocalist and tasted success with the super hit number, aadat.

Amidst huge controversy surrounding Atif's departure from the band, and the subsequent release of his album Jal Pari which had many of the band's songs, Aslam went on to start his solo music career in B'Town.

He rendered the Jal composed songs woh lamhe and aadat for Mahesh Bhatt's Zeher and Kalyug respectively. Atif was immediately noticed for his distinct voice and picked up by music director Pritam for many of his films.

Pritam was responsible for Aslam's hit numbers such as pehli nazar mein from Race, bakhuda tumhi ho from Kismat Konnection and tu jaane na from Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.

Atif's latest songs from 'Prince' including the duet with Shreya Ghoshal, tere liye ruled the music charts for many weeks and he's recently crooned a number for Remo D'Souza's F.A.L.T.U.
