In a strengthening of a historically strong collaboration with the celebrated studio, Prime Video becomes the exclusive worldwide streaming destination for Yash Raj Films’ next four massive theatrical releases – Bunty Aur Babli 2, Prithviraj, Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Shamshera. The titles will premiere on Prime Video just four weeks after their theatrical launch, in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
As part of this deal, Prime Video will have exclusive global streaming rights to these four most anticipated titles under the Yash Raj Films banner. The content slate includes films across genres—including heist comedy Bunty Aur Babli 2 starring Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari, Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt starrer action adventure Shamshera, historical epic Prithviraj starring Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Manushi Chhillar and Sonu Sood and Ranveer Singh’s social comedy drama Jayeshbhai Jordaar.

Since the pandemic hit theatrical business in India in March 2020, OTT platforms have generated good number of viewers. With almost every upcoming Bollywood movie setting up for a four week deal, it has became easy for audience to experience the films on selected mediums. It will be interesting to see what kind of response these biggies recieve on digital platforms as we all know that this is going to be the future of cinema.
