Rumours were rife that the dimpled darling of Bollywood - Preity Zinta was stopped from boarding a flight owned by her ex-boyfriend Ness Wadia on his orders.

Now, the said airline has refuted the reports and issued a statement claiming that the reports were false and factually incorrect.

As per the statement, Zinta had a smooth flight on the Mumbai to Chandigarh sector on Saturday March 30, 2019. Further, on April 2, 2019 she also booked herself on a return flight on the same airlines from Chandigarh to Mumbai but did not show up. The statement read that this clearly demonstrated that sections of media had reported mischievously and without verifying the facts with the said airline.

Apparently the actress-entrepreneur was headed to Mohali for Kings XI Punjab's match when the alleged incident happened, which has now been denied by the airline.

For the uninitiated, Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia were said to be in a relationship for a substantial period of time and the couple broke up later. There were also allegations from Preity Zinta's end in 2014 that Ness Wadia had molested and abused her. Preity Zinta is now married to Gene Goodenough.

On the professional front, Preity Zinta was last seen in Bhaiaji Superhit, that starred Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Arshad Warsi, and Shreyas Talpade in pivotal roles. She also made an appearance in Welcome To New York, that released last year.
