Recently, a social media handle of the Kerala Congress party made a post about Bollywood actress Preity Zinta being involved in a banking scam. She then denied the claims, and the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) cleared her name from the investigation reports. Now, netizens are curious about whether the actress is going to file a defamation case against Congress party head Rahul Gandhi.

The Soldier actress held a small chat session with her fans on a social media platform, and one of the fans asked her, "When are you filing a defamation case against Rahul Gandhi?" She immediately replied that she has no such plans. "I don’t think it’s fair to vilify anyone like that, as he is not responsible for someone else’s actions. I believe in handling problems or issues directly and not through proxy battles. I also have no problem with Rahul Gandhi, so let him live in peace, and I will live in peace too," she wrote.

Another fan asked her about joining politics: "You are truly a soldier, dear Preity! Hats off to you! Just curious if you have plans to join politics?" She answered, "No! No politics for me. Over the years, various political parties have offered me tickets and Rajya Sabha seats, but I have politely declined, as it’s not what I want. Calling me a soldier is not completely wrong because I am a soldier’s daughter and a soldier's sister. We fauji kids/army brats are wired differently. We are not North Indian or South Indian or Himachalis or Bengalis, etc. We are just Indians, and yes, patriotism and national pride are in our blood. If you know, you know."
