Prakash Jha has been making political dramas for a while now. The director is now keen to adapt his popular television show,
Mungerilal Ke Haseen Sapne (1989), for the big screen. The show had actor
Raghuveer Yadav playing the working-class dreamer. Jha now wants
Ranbir Kapoor to essay the same character for the big screen adaptation.
Jha was quoted saying that he feels that comedy is the need of the hour with so much grief around, and that he wants to reveal a fun side of his to the audiences.
The show was based on James Thurber's short story, The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty, and had gone on to become quite popular during its two-year run.
