Prakash Jha Says 'Jai Gangaajal' Is Not A Sequel To 'Gangaajal'

Acclaimed filmmaker Prakash Jha, who will be teaming up with Priyanka Chopra for cop drama Jai Gangaajal, recently clarified that the film is not a sequel to Gangaajal, which had starred Ajay Devgn and was inspired by the Bhagalpur blinding incident.

Talking about his film, Jha said that in Gangaajal, Devgn dealt with the issue of vigilantism whereas Priyanka Chopra will face other problems in the upcoming film. Jha added that there is no connection between the two plots and that Jai Gangaajal will also explore the difficulties that women in the police service have to encounter.

For those who do not know this, Jha himself will be seen playing a cop in Jai Gangaajal.
