Prabhas has scored another good opener in Hindi markets, providing his stardom yet again. He came to recognition after Bahubali in 2015, and in these nine years, almost all his films except Radhe Shyam have seen a good response on opening day.

Kalki 2898 AD marks his 8th film to be released in Hindi-dubbed version, and it has opened to pretty respectable numbers on day one. It hardly happens with any South Indian movie star that he scores well in Hindi consistently, and Prabhas surely tops the list.

Except Radhe Shyam, which was released after the pandemic and did not offer the kind of larger-than-life mass image to him, remains his only failure in Hindi markets.

Kalki 2898 AD minted approx. 22–22.50 crore on the first day, becoming the 4th biggest opener for Prabhas in the Hindi market. Bahubali 2 remains his highest opener; be it net or gross, or initials, and footfalls are unlikely to be crossed ever. Kalki should have caught up with Saaho (25 crore nett), but India vs. England took away its chances of hitting the 25 crore mark.
