shershaah
Sidharth Malhotra is playing the titular role in Param Vir Chakra recipient Captain Vikram Batra in his biopic Shershaah and the makers of the film released a few posters of the film today.
Sid has turned a year older today and on the occasion of his birthday, the makers of Shershaah unveiled his look from the film. In the posters, Malhotra is seen on the battlefield leading his troop. Sid looks like a battle-hardened soldier and seems quite at home in the rugged terrain of Kargil.
Sidharth shared the posters with his fans and captioned them, “An absolute honor to be able to paint the big screen with the shades of bravery & sacrifice. Paying an ode to the journey of Captain Vikram Batra (PVC) and bringing the UNTOLD TRUE STORY with #Shershaah. Releasing 3rd July, 2020.”
Captain Vikram Batra had posthumously received India’s highest and most prestigious award for valour, the Param Vir Chakra for the grit and courage that he displayed during the 1999 Kargil War. He was often referred to as ‘'Shershaah'’ (Lion King) in the intercepted messages of the Pakistan Army.
Directed by Vishnu Varadhan, Shershaah also stars Kiara Advani and Rakul Preet in the lead roles and will release on July 3.
