Bollywood and South actress Pooja Hegde is currently facing a tough phase at the box office, with nearly every film of hers flopping at the ticket windows. During this challenging period, she is openly trolled by meme pages that comment on her acting and box office failure. However, the Radhe Shyam actress has discovered that these trolls are not organic.

In a shocking statement, the Cirkus actress revealed that other actors paid for this negative PR campaign against her. She also mentioned that they compensated meme pages to troll her and that she is quite poor at managing her PR. The amount paid to these meme pages is in lakhs, as revealed by the actress.

"Many times, and for me, it was a shock. The one thing I'm genuinely bad at is PR. I remember there was a time when I was constantly being trolled by meme pages, and I wondered why they were continually speaking negatively about me. It felt targeted. People are spending a lot of money to bring down others. When I found out about it, my parents and I were very disturbed. However, I also took it as a compliment because if someone feels the need to pull you down, it means you are above them. I kept reassuring my parents that it was alright. But after a point, it became overwhelming. I discovered that people were spending lakhs just to troll me," she told the Filmfare portal.

Pooja revealed that her PR contacted the meme pages, and they indicated that they were paid a substantial amount for those trolls. "I instructed my team to connect with the meme pages and inquire about the issue. They said, 'This is how much they are paying us. If you'd like to stop it or troll them back, this is the amount.' To me, it was simply bizarre," she concluded.
