Pooja Bhatt recently expressed her anger over the Delhi child rape case on Twitter, however she claimed that many people feel that she doesn't have a right to speak about women's safety as she had given a break to a porn star. Though a select sect of the society doesn't support Pooja's decision of casting Indo-Canadian adult star Sunny Leone, the filmmaker feels that by doing so, she has humanised a porn star.

“Each time I speak up about rape or sexual abuse some 'saint' tells me that I have no right to since I introduced a 'porn star' to Bollywood! I humanized a 'porn star' & got her accepted into the mainstream. The rest of Bollywood is now free to objectify her like they do most women,” she posted on Twitter.

“If Mallika Sherawat can still express her shock at 'my decision to cast a porn star' I don't blame the sanctimonious cows out there! Enjoy!,” she further added.

She also asked her fans to not tolerate abuse on social networking sites, writing, “But one thing i will not take anymore-not for me or for another woman-is vile mindsets & abuse on Twitter. Want to stop rape? START HERE! If you look away when a woman gets harassed, abused & targeted on Twitter etc you might as well look away when you see it happen on the road.”

Sunny made her Bollywood debut with Pooja Bhatt's directorial venture Jism 2.
