Ponty Chadha And Brother Killed At Delhi Farmhouse In Shootout!

Liquor baron, real estate agent and film producer-distributor Ponty Chadha and his brother Hardeep Singh Chadha were killed in a shootout following a property dispute at Ponty's Delhi farmhouse on Saturday.

Sources claim that Ponty and Hardeep, also known as Monty, who were not on favourable terms, had met at the farmhouse for some discussions regarding a land dispute on Saturday afternoon. The discussion soon turned into an argument and Monty opened fire on his brother Ponty, following which the latter's bodyguards shot at Monty, injuring him fatally. Ponty, who was shot six times, was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival alongwith Monty.

Born in a poor family in Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh. Gurdeep Singh Chadha alias Ponty Chadha used to sell snacks with his father in front of a country wine shop. The family's fortunes changed for the better when his father Kulwant Singh Chadha managed to get the licence of the shop. Ponty Chadha, along with his brothers, managed the Chadha Group, which has been consolidated under the Wave brand. He ran a popular chain of multiplexes, under the Wave brand in the National Capital Region.
