Police Investigation Launched Against Aryan Khan:
A video that surfaced online appears to show Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, making an obscene gesture (raising his middle finger) during a November 28 visit to a pub in Bengaluru. The footage, reportedly shot inside a pub under the jurisdiction of Ashoknagar Police Station, quickly went viral, drawing widespread public attention and outrage. Watch the video below:
Following the backlash, a Bengaluru-based lawyer filed a formal complaint seeking the registration of an FIR. The complaint alleges that Khan’s gesture constituted an obscene act in public and insulted the modesty of women present at the venue — invoking sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023. It also cites “public discomfort, embarrassment, and emotional distress,” claiming the incident reflected poorly on the city’s image.
In response, Bengaluru police have initiated a suo motu inquiry. Officers visited the pub, questioned its management, reviewed CCTV footage, and collected relevant evidence to determine the authenticity of the video and examine the context of the gesture. The final decision on whether to register a formal case is still pending, pending the outcome of the investigation.
At the moment, no official statement has been released by authorities. The case has reignited debate about celebrity conduct in public spaces and the broader issue of how such incidents should be handled under law.
