Pawan Kalyan’s much-anticipated period action film Hari Hara Veera Mallu got off to a below average start with an opening day collection of ₹34 crore nett, supported by ₹12 crore from Wednesday night previews. The early signs indicated low public interest in the film and the fate was very much sealed. It became worse on day two.

On its second day, the film witnessed a massive drop in collections, managing to earn just ₹7.5–8 crore nett. This brings the film’s total to approximately ₹54 crore nett—a sharp fall that has raised red flags for trade analysts and fans alike. Given its high production cost and mounting expectations, the film now faces an uphill battle to even touch the ₹100 crore mark.

Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, Hari Hara Veer Mallu was pitched as an epic blend of history, patriotism, and high-octane action, with Pawan Kalyan playing a legendary freedom fighter. Despite the star power and grandeur, the film has failed to maintain momentum at the box office. The audience verdict has become clear on the second day.

The sharp decline on Day 2 suggests that word-of-mouth and audience reception have not been favorable. Critics have cited a weak screenplay, inconsistent pacing, and underwhelming visual effects as major drawbacks. While fans of Pawan Kalyan may still show up over the weekend, the road ahead looks bumpy.

With such a steep drop so early in its run, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, also starring Bobby Deol and Nidhhi Agerwal, may go down as one of the most disappointing big-budget ventures of the year unless it sees a miraculous turnaround.
