Palaash Mucchal Accused Of Rs. 40 Lakhs Fraud:

Music composer and filmmaker Palaash Muchhal has strongly denied allegations of financial fraud after a complaint was filed against him alleging he cheated a Sangli resident of ₹40 lakh.

The complaint, lodged with the Sangli Superintendent of Police by Vidnyan Mane, claims Muchhal solicited investments for his upcoming film Nazariya, promising profits and even an acting role, but failed to complete the project or return funds. According to the complaint, Mane met Muchhal in December 2023 and, based on assurances of a profitable OTT release, paid a total of ₹40 lakh by March 2025. When the project stalled and the money was not returned, Mane approached police.

Police have said a preliminary investigation is underway, though no official First Information Report (FIR) has been registered yet.

In response, Muchhal took to Instagram to categorically reject the allegations, calling them “baseless and factually incorrect” and claiming they were made with “malicious intent” to tarnish his reputation. He stated that his legal team, led by lawyer Shreyansh Mithare, is exploring all avenues to ensure the matter is resolved through appropriate judicial channels.

The development comes weeks after Muchhal’s widely reported breakup with Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana, following the postponement and eventual cancellation of their wedding last November. Muchhal’s camp has urged the public to wait for facts and avoid speculation as authorities continue their probe. Let's see what happens in this case.
