Pakistan Files Petition Seeking Removal Of Priyanka Chopra As UNICEF
Indians applauded the courage and grit of the Indian Air Force as it conducted an airstrike in Balakot and destructed several Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar terror camps, post the dastardly Pulwama Attack. Priyanka Chopra, was one of the Bollywood celebs who hailed the airstrike, and her tweet hasn’t gone down too well with Pakistan.
Post the airstrike, PeeCee congratulated the Indian Air Force writing, “Jai Hind #IndianArmedForces.” Her tweet rubbed many people in Pakistan the wrong way and Pakistan has now filed an online petition to remove Chopra as the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for not being neutral.
The petition filed on online platform Avaaz reads, “War between two nuclear powers can only lead to destruction & death. As goodwill ambassador of UNICEF, Priyanka Chopra was supposed to stay neutral & peaceful but her tweet in favour of Indian arm forces after they invaded Pakistan airspace shows otherwise. She doesn’t deserve this title anymore (sic).”
Priyanka was appointed as the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 2016. Neither Priyanka nor UNICEF has commented on this petition, yet.
