Padmavati Controversy: Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Prasoon Joshi Asked To Present Their Views Before A Parliamentary Committee

In the wake of the Padmavati controversy, a parliamentary committee has asked Censor chief, Prasoon Joshi and the director of the movie, Sanjay Leela Bhansali to appear before it and present their views on the whole issue.

The 30-member panel has asked the producers of the opus, which has been accused of distorting history, and the officials of the I&B Ministry to appear before it, on Thursday, and brief them about the controversy related to the movie.

Actors Paresh Rawal and Raj Babbar, who are members of Parliament, are also part of the panel. Padmavati stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles.
