Oscar-nominated Anatomy Of A Fall To Release In India On February 2; To Have Special Screening At Jio MAMI

Anatomy of a Fall, the winner of the Palme D'Or Award, 2 Golden Globes, 1 Critics Choice, 6 European Film Awards, and 7 BAFTA nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actress, is set to be released in India on February 2, 2024. But before that, the film will have a special screening at the Jio MAMI on January 31, 2024.

The critically acclaimed film is a nuanced look at the breakdown of modern-day marriages and everyone it affects in its path. In this Palme d’Or-winning psychological thriller, a celebrated writer finds herself on trial when her husband plunges to his death from their secluded chalet. What begins as a murder investigation soon transforms into an interesting journey into the depths of a tumultuous marriage.

What sets this courtroom drama apart is its suspenseful mood. To make it look more authentic and interesting, director Justine Triet mentioned, "We received valuable guidance from a criminal lawyer named Vincent Courcelle-Labrousse. This allowed me to create a distinctly French film and take a different approach from the more spectacle-driven American courtroom dramas."Speaking about the nature of the film, she also mentioned, "During post-production, I spent considerable time working with my editor, Laurent Sénéchal, to slow down the pace of the film, keep shots imperfect, and maintain a slightly shaky, raw feel to the film. I didn't want it to be too polished or predictable. In the end, I discovered a new formal pleasure in making this film."
