Orhan Awatramaani is said to be playing a homosexual character in Love and War. A report in India Today confirmed the update with a source close to the production. Orry will be sharing the screen with Alia Bhatt, who plays the role of a cabaret dancer. These two characters will be showcased as friends in the film, while Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal will both be seen in the roles of soldiers.

Love and War is a love triangle and will feature "war" as the major conflict in the storyline. Many have said that this is an adaptation of Raj Kapoor's 1964 blockbuster Sangam, starring Raj Kapoor in the lead role with Vyjayanthimala and Rajendra Kumar. However, there is no official confirmation about this, and even the director of the film has denied those reports. The film is currently being shot and will be released in cinemas on Eid 2026, likely clashing with Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan's action thriller King.
