Oppenheimer box office update: Christopher Nolan's biographical drama, Oppenheimer, is close to making history. The film was released against the Warner Bros. blockbuster "Barbie," but that didn't stop it from achieving success. And what a glorious success story it wrote!
Oppenheimer shattered all myths about 3-hour-long dramas and R-rated films not finding a large audience. Made on a budget of $100 million, Nolan's biographical film is close to the $900 million mark at the global box office, confirming its Blockbuster status again.
Oppenheimer now needs $20 million more to surpass "Bohemian Rhapsody" ($910.8 million) and become the highest grossing biopic of all time. Will it do? We think so.
Below are the collections of Oppenheimer:
Domestic - $315.5 million
Overseas - $575.8 million
Worldwide - $890.9 million*
