Onir’s Hamlet-inspired Film ‘Veda’ Will Have Ashish Bisht In The Lead

It is the season for some Shakespearean inspiration. After Vishal Bhardwaj‘s take on the Shakespearean classic Hamlet in the form of Haider, which has Shahid Kapoor in the lead, it is Onir‘s turn to take on the classic. His version of Hamlet, titled Veda will have debutant Ashish Bisht in the lead.

Ashish is a newbie who has no acting experience but has been into endorsements and modeling for a few years.

Onir has been looking for a lead actor for over a year now, and Ashish finally made the cut. While comparisons are bound to happen with Vishal Bhardwaj’s film, Onir is quick to point out that both of them are very different film makers and will treat their characters differently.
