Onir Wanted To Cast Raveena Tandon And Sanjay Suri As The Leads In 'Shab'

Onir's much delayed and ambitious project Shab, was initially written for Raveena Tandon and Sanjay Suri reveals the film-maker.

The My Brother Nikhil director who is well known for making films on alternate sexuality, wanted to cast Raveena and Sanjay, after their applauding their performance in Kalpana Lajmi's Daman. However Sanjay and Raveena are very much a part of the movie, where Raveena plays a socialite and Sanjay has a cameo as her husband.

The lead roles are bagged by Ashish Bisht and Arpita Chatterjee. The Mohra girl bagged the role after Sangeeta Bijlani walked out of the project as she did not want to perform intimate scenes with a younger actor.
