O Romeohas failed to make the desired impact at the box office and is now heading toward a flop verdict. Despite a decent opening weekend, the film could not maintain momentum during the weekdays.

The film started on a fair note, collecting ₹7.50 crore on Friday. It saw some growth on Saturday with ₹11 crore and remained steady on Sunday with ₹8.25 crore. However, the real trouble began once the weekdays kicked in.

Collections dropped sharply on Monday to ₹4.25 crore and remained flat on Tuesday with another ₹4.25 crore. Both days had offers for audiences. The downward trend continued through the rest of the week, with Wednesday bringing in ₹2.75 crore and Thursday adding only ₹2 crore. With this, the film’s first-week total stands at approximately ₹40 crore nett.
Given the film’s scale, expectations and reported costs, these numbers are simply not strong enough. The weekday crash clearly indicates that audience word-of-mouth did not work in the film’s favour. For a film to sustain in today’s competitive market, strong weekday holds are crucial — something O Romeo has failed to achieve.
It can be viewed as a flop now unless there is an unexpected turnaround in the coming days, which currently looks unlikely. The second weekend will be important, but the film already seems to be on a difficult path at the box office.
