After a lot of discussions with the producers of Shehzada, Manish Shah from the Goldmines Telefilms has finally decided to cancel the theatrical release of Allu Arjun starrer Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. The Hindi dubbed version of the film was announced for theatrical release on Republic Day, 26th January 2022, but now the film will directly premiere on television.
Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde starrer Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo will premiere on Dhinchaak TV on 6th February 2022. The promotions for the same have started today and Goldmines Telefilms has released a teaser which also features glimpses of Allu Arjun's latest Super Hit Pushpa: The Rise.Goldmines Telefilms tweeted the video with the caption, "#AlaVaikunthapurramuloo (Hindi) will not open in cinemas. However to honour fans, we are excited to announce the release of this highly anticipated film on DHINCHAAK TV, India’s leading movie channel, A Goldmines venture, on February 6th."

Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo stars Allu Arjun in the lead role while Pooja Hegde plays his love interest. The rest of the cast includes Tabu, Sachin Khedekar, Jayaram, Sushanth and Nivetha Pethuraj in supporting roles. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo was released on 12th January 2020 and it was a huge hit in Telugu States with the collections crossing the 200 crore nett mark. The Hindi remake of the film, Shehzada, is being directed by Rohit Dhawan and will feature Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles.
