American singer-songwriter Norah Jones gave her first live performance in India, on Sunday and she dedicated her maiden Indian performance to her late father sitar maestro Pt. Ravi Shankar.
The Grammy Award winning singer performed at A Summer’s Day festival in Mumbai. She enthralled the audiences by crooning hits like sunrise and ‘come away with me’.
Norah was born to the late sitar legend and Sue Jones and is singer Anushka Sharma’s half sister. The 33-year-old will also perform in Delhi and Bangalore, on March 5 and 8 respectively.
