Neha Dhupia Reveals That Her Father Did Not Expect Her To Become An Actress

When Neha Dhupia first left Delhi to pursue a career in acting, 17 years ago, her father thought that she would be back home in three months time. However, Neha went on to make her big screen debut in the 1994 Malayalam film Minnaram.

Neha won the Miss India pageant in 2002 and bagged her first Bollywood film, ‘Qayamat: City Under Threat’, a year later. The actress remarks that she is happy to have a career in films, and remembers that she was only 20 years old when she first arrived in Mumbai. The actress adds that she has been in the city for 17 years now.

Neha’s notable Bollywood films include Julie, Ek Chalis Ki Last Local, Mithya, Singh Is Kinng and Dasvidaniya. Her most recent films are Hindi Medium and Tumhari Sulu. The actress says that today she is far more self assured as a person. Neha also makes her presence felt as a gang leader in the MTV action-adventure reality television show 'Roadies Xtreme'.
