Nawazuddin Siddiqui Bags 'Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa' Because of 'Gangs Of Wasseypur'!

National Award-winning filmmaker Buddhadeb Dasgupta, who's previously directed films like Andhi Gali, Bagh Bahadur and Woh, is now all set for the release of his Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa.

Interestingly, the story of the film was locked two years ago however, Dasgupta couldn't zero in upon the right actor, who would fit the bill of a common man. But when the filmmaker saw Nawaz's performance in the Gangs Of Wasseypur series, he immediately signed him for his film.

“I was not finding a right face for Anwar. I waited for the right face to play Anwar and when I saw Nawaz I signed him and the film went on the floors. I feel Nawaz is the most talented actor in the Hindi film industry. It was after I watched Gangs of Wasseypur and Kahaani, that I signed him for the movie. Nawaz is a wonderful actor” says Buddhadeb Dasgupta.
