Nana Patekar, who brought a lump to everyone's throats with his intense role in Marathi film Natsamrat, has agreed to star in the Bollywood remake of South flick Salt And Pepper, which had starred Prakash Raj in the lead role.
Interestingly, Raj, who had directed the original film, will be making his Bollywood directorial debut with this film. Confirming the same, Raj said that he chose Nana for the lead role as he is a superb actor and that they bond over cinema, cooking and theatre. Nana will be seen romancing Shriya Saran in the film, which will be shot in Goa and also star Ali Fazal and Taapsee Pannu.
Nana recently lent his voice to the villainous Bengal tiger Shere Khan in The Jungle Book.
