National-award winning filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor on Wednesday launched the trailer of his upcoming film Dhanak on Twitter.
The film revolves around a 10-year-old girl, Pari (Hetal Gada) who promises her visually impaired brother, Chotu (Krrish Chhabbria) that he will be able to see by the time he turns nine. Kukunoor tweeted, “Ok folks here it is, @Dhanakthefilm trailer. Chotu and Pari are on their way!!!”
The film was premiered at the Jio MAMI 17th Mumbai Film Festival where it received a good response. Kukunoor, who has given several memorable films in the past including Iqbal Rockford, etc, had earlier said that this film is a story about the power of hope, determination and the human spirit.
The movie, set in Rajasthan, was honoured at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival with The Grand Prix of the Generation Kplus International Jury as the best feature-length film.
