South superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna is all set to return in Bollywood after a break of 15 years, with Karan Johar's high budget multi-starrer Sci-Fi, Brahmastra. Nagarjuna will be seen sharing screen space with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in the film. Recently we got a glimpse of the south superstar joining the team, from a picture that has been doing around in the Internet. Where he can be seen posing with the team from the film's set. Now latest we hear that Nagarjuna will be seen role of an archaeologist in the epic saga.
As per reports, Nagarjuna's character in the film will be seen out on a expedition to restore an ancient temple along the banks of the Ganga with his students. Where Ranbir and Alia, who are playing the characters of Shiva and Isha, will meet Nagarjuna at a critical point in the epic sci-fi, which will lead to a series of events with serious consequences. The report further suggests, that the real adventure in the film kicks-off after all of them come face-to-face in Varanasi. An high-octane action sequence featuring all of them was shot earlier this year. Nagarjuna has already finished filming for his portions in this multi-starrer high octane action flick, where he shot at Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the Chet Singh Fort and on the banks of Ganga for his portion in the film. The movie is reported to be shot in various locations, from Varanasi to the Himalayas.
The supernatural fantasy romance is an epic saga, which is a part of a trilogy that has been produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. This Sci-Fi is directed by Ayan Mukherji, which also stars WWE wrestler Saurav Gurjar and Mouni Roy, who play the antagonists in the film. The film is tentatively to release in May 2020.
