In a recent interview with Filmymantra, seasoned actor Mushtaq Khan discussed the fixed-payment system in the film industry and how it often places character actors at a financial disadvantage compared to others on the same set. He explained that his pay was lower than Akshay's staff due to the daily-pay system.

For us, it’s a flat rate—say, Rs 1 lakh for the entire film. So even if the shoot extends to 25 days, the amount remains the same.
