OG Drishyam 3 in Malayalam & Hindi:
Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph's Drishyam 3 is one of the most awaited sequels in the Malayalam cinema industry. Now, it is learned that the makers are planning to make the film a pan-India release, including a Hindi dubbed version. This will directly affect Ajay Devgn's remake franchise of the same name.

A report in Midday states that the makers of OG Drishyam are likely to pursue a pan-India approach with the original film. "Buoyed by the success of the past two editions, Jeethu, Mohanlal, and producer Antony Perumbavoor are keen to make the third outing a pan-India offering. This could become an issue for Ajay's movie, as his Drishyam 3 script is still being worked upon. One reason why Ajay’s Drishyam has been successful so far is that the Malayalam original didn’t tap into the Hindi-speaking audience. However, if Mohanlal’s movie releases much earlier than Ajay’s, particularly in Hindi, it could be disadvantageous to the latter since they both share story and plot points," a source said.

Ajay's Drishyam 3 is also expected to commence filming this year, but if Mohanlal's film releases before that, it will pose a significant problem for the Hindi film. However, it is still unclear whether Ajay's film will be a remake or a fresh project. In the latter case, there should be no issues as the storylines and suspense will be different. Nonetheless, the producer of the Hindi remake franchise is in talks with the Malayalam filmmakers for a simultaneous release.
