Moana 2 floats with the biggest Thanksgiving weekend of all time —

Moana 2 Opening Weekend: 

Moana 2 has got the tide right at the global box office and is floating steadily without any restriction. The new Walt Disney animated picture took a superb start at the domestic box office and has also set the international markets sailing high. Moana 2 smashed all the Thanksgiving box office records, be it North America or worldwide box office, and emerged as the rank 1 film over the extended weekend. 

Moana 2 smashed the Thanksgiving opening weekend record of Frozen 2 ($125 million) by a huge margin. This Moana and Mail's tale went against the tide and minted a huge 5-day weekend total of around $221 million, which is far beyond earlier projections. As per the studio, it now holds the highest 5-day opening of all time, surpassing the $204.6 million of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and the highest Thanksgiving opening weekend box office, beating Frozen’s $94 million total in 2014.

Internationally, the film grossed approx. $165 million and took its global earnings to a huge haul of $386 million. With this, Walt Disney is now responsible for the three biggest weekends of the year, with the other two being Deadpool and Wolverine and Inside Out 2 (both crossed the $1 billion mark globally).
