Minissha Lamba Turns A Year Older

Model turned actress Minissha Lamba had reportedly planned to become journalist during her college days. However, Lady Fortune had something more glamorous in store for her and the petite Lamba was offered to represent ad campaigns like LG, Sony, Cadbury, Hajmola, Airtel, Sunsilk while studying for a degree in Delhi.

However, it was Lamba's Cadbury ad that got her noticed in the filmy circles and she was approached by Bollywood director Shoojit Sircar, who signed her to act in his film Yahaan, a love story set against the backdrop of terrorism in Kashmir. Lamba's role of a Kashmiri girl was much appreciated by critics and the actress bagged a major role in big budget romantic movie Bachna Ae Haseeno, which starred Bollywood biggies like Ranbir Kapoor, Bipasha Basu and Deepika Padukone.

Lamba has since then gone on to appear in many movies like Well Done Abba, Shaurya (in which she played a journalist), Kidnap and Corporate, to name a few. Lamba is currently shooting for Shirish Kunder's Joker starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha, in which she will star opposite Shreyas Talpade.
