Acclaimed sound editor Mike Hopkins, known for working on films like Octopussy and The Lord Of The Rings, passed away after drowning in New Zealand in a rafting accident, claim sources.
Buzz has it that Hopkins drowned after being thrown into a fast-flowing stretch of the river in the remote Tararua Ranges on North Island. Hopkins had two other companions with him in the raft, but it seems that they both survived.
