Metro In Dino has had a below average opening at the Indian box office. The film collected approx. 3.50 crore on Day 1, needs a strong growth (Movie Talkies).
Anurag Basu’s latest directorial, Metro In Dino, hit theatres this Friday and managed to collect around ₹3.50 crore nett on its opening day. While not a disastrous figure, the start is considered below average for a film of its scale and genre. These kind of metro-driven films haven't really achieved success in the post pandemic times, so the expectations have to be in limit.
Given the moderate budget, the film needs a substantial jump in collections over the weekend to stand a chance at box office success. With urban-centric appeal and multiplex audiences as its core target, Metro In Dino must show strong word-of-mouth traction, especially on Saturday and Sunday, to build momentum. Will it?
Metro In Dino
The coming days will be crucial, as the film faces competition from both holdover releases like Sitaare Zameen Par and F1 The Moviedoing well. Additionally, Jurassic World Rebirth is taking away most of the multiplex audiences. A sharp jump in footfalls is expected if audience reception improves.
The film is an ensemble drama and serves as a spiritual sequel to Life in a... Metro (2007). Metro In Dino explores multiple intertwined love stories set in Banglore and Delhi. The cast features Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Neena Gupta, and Anupam Kher. You can check out our review below:
