Hollywood actress Meryl Streep has had relationships and is now moving on to a new one. The 75-year-old actress is dating Martin Short, with whom she shared the screen in Only Murders in the Building, confirms a source to the Page Six portal. 

The source confirms that they have kept it a secret from everyone, but they have been enjoying this relationship for over a year now. It wasn't planned, but it was completely unexpected for them and took them by surprise.

"Meryl Streep couldn’t help but fall for Martin. He is a gentleman, he keeps her laughing, and is an all-around positive person. She loves being around him," an insider told the media portal.

The insider also clarified that both actors weren’t looking for a relationship when they started talking to each other. It happened naturally as they began enjoying each other's company.

"Neither of them was looking for a relationship when they started dating. The pair’s friends and family, including their kids, absolutely approve of their relationship and think they’re adorable together," shared the source.

Meryl previously dated John Cazale for two years before he died of lung cancer, then married Don Gummer in 1978. The two separated in 2017. They have four children: musician Henry Wolfe Gummer (born 1979), and actresses Mary Willa "Mamie" Gummer (born 1983), Grace Jane Gummer (born 1986), and Louisa Jacobson Gummer (born 1991).
