Sajid Khan, who became a household name in India with Mehboob Khan's record-breaking blockbuster Mother India (1957), dies of cancer. Sajid played the role of young Birju in the movie and then also played the lead in its sequel, Son of India (1962).
Sajid Khan was suffering from cancer, and his treatment was going on for months. However, he couldn't survive and passed away on December 22, 2023, in the USA. He was known as a teen idol in North America and the Philippines from the late 1960s to early 1970s.
