The makers of the upcoming fictional biography film Mastram recently got into trouble with the Cine Wing of a local political party after seeing the posters of the film in various places in the city. The party showed displeasure and objected to the sensual poster of the pornographic film. Apparently they claim that the movie glorifies sleazy and pornographic writing.
However, the producer of the film, Sunil Bohra said that the film's posters have already been approved by the Indian Motion Pictures' Producers Association, (IMPPA).
Earlier, the poster had a signature line The legend of porn writing is back, but when the agency objected over it, the makers agreed to delete it immediately. The political party has filed a complaint asking to withdraw the posters and are also trying to put a ban on the release of the film.
The makers are making efforts to promote the film. They have designed about 35 different posters and want to post it across various platforms to reach out to the audiences.
Inspired by the life of porn writer Mastram, the film revolves around a small town bank clerk who aspires to become a writer. Directed by Akhilesh Jaiswal, the film is slated to release on 9th May.
