The teaser of Mastiii 4 is finally out, bringing back the original trio – Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, and Vivek Oberoi. The Masti franchise started in 2004 with the first film Masti, which was a hit and even had Ajay Devgn in a key role. The second part, Grand Masti (2013), turned into a superhit at the box office. But things went downhill with the third film, Great Grand Masti (2016), which turned out to be a major disaster.

Now, almost a decade later, the makers are trying again with Mastiii 4. It’s rare to see sequels made after a big failure, but the team seems to be banking on nostalgia from the original 2004 film. The big question is—will that nostalgia be enough to bring audiences back? Watch the teaser below:

Talking about the teaser, it doesn’t land well. The comedy feels repetitive, and honestly, the era of adult comedies seems long gone. The star value of the trio is not strong enough to pull crowds on its own. Yes, the Masti brand may attract some attention, but based on the teaser, there isn’t much to be hopeful about.

The only silver lining is that this time the vulgarity seems toned down. Still, the jokes lack freshness and the teaser doesn’t create any real excitement. It remains to be seen if the trailer can change things or if Mastiii 4 will struggle like its predecessor.

Directed by Milap Zaveri, Mastiii 4 is schedule to be released on November 21, 2025. The film will be clashing with Haunted 3D Ghosts of the Past at the ticket windows.
