Actor Manoj Bajpayee, who had essayed the role of a lusty gangster named Sardar Khan in Anurag Kashyap's Gangs Of Wasseypur, recently lashed out at film committees and said that GOW should have been sent for the Oscars.
In an interview, the Satya star said that though he feels that the movie should have been sent for the Oscars, he is neither surprised nor shocked at the decision to not send the movie as he feels that such decisions have been made in the past. He further pointed out that when a cult classic like Satya was made, the 'powers that be' had sent Jeans for the Oscars.
He further said that though he attends awards functions, he doesn't expect any awards and attends such events just so that people associated with these functions don't get offended.
