Makoto Shinkai's latest Japanese anime, Suzume, has crossed Rs. 10 crore at the Indian box office and became the top Japanese film released in India. Suzume is the story of a 17-year-old girl who is set in various disaster-stricken locations across Japan, where she must close the doors, causing devastation. With Makoto Shinkai's popularity increasing day by day in India, these numbers are really encouraging.
