After treating us with festive peppy tracks like ‘Sanedo’ and ‘Odhani’, the makers of ‘Made In China’ are back with a new song, ‘Valam’. Composed by Sachin Sanghvi, Jigar Saraiya and sung by Arijit Singh, Priya Saraiya and Sachin – Jigar, the song’s lyrics have been penned by Priya Saraiya and Sachin Sanghvi.
As the film’s location is based in Ahmedabad and the film’s story revolves around the journey of a small time businessman Raghu aka Rajkummar Rao, the song has a strong Gujarati flavour to it in which Rukmini aka Mouni Roy plays Rajkummar’s love interest.
The couple are hitting the right chords by their display of Old School Romance in the song. The melodious and slow music track just enhanced the romance flavour between the two love birds. The actors are in their de glam avatar which makes the song even more real and relatable among the masses.
Talking about working on the song, the actors Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy shared interesting insights to a leading newspaper in an Interview. Rajkummar shares, “Valam is a departure from the rest of the songs and adds soul to the album. While Raghu is busy chasing his dreams, it’s his wife Rukmini who is the wind beneath his wings, encouraging him every step of the way. And that’s what this song personifies – the meaning of true love and relationships. We had a blast shooting for all the songs, but filming this one was a relaxed and effortless experience. It was driven by the idea of building and celebrating a connection.”
To which Mouni further adds, “This became my favourite track from the day I first heard it. While people expect me to be all about dance numbers given my love for dance, I enjoy soft romantic tracks as well. The album of Made In China has all the flavours and variations that one looks for and there is something for everyone and every mood.”

We agree to every bit of information revealed by the actors on working for this song, as it can be evidently seen that Rajkummar and Mouni are at complete ease while displaying their cute moments of Romance in the song.
The film ‘Made In China’ deals with the subject of Sex Education which has always been behind the doors in the Indian Society and people are ashamed to talk about it till date. This film is definitely an eye opener for the young sexually uneducated and unaware adults. The director Mikhil Musale and the screenwriter Niren Bhatt’s hardwork towards creating the blueprint of the concept definitely makes it a promising film. The dialogues by Karan Vyas have taken the humour factor in the film to another level.
‘Made In China’, Bollywood’s upcoming comedy film has Rajkummar Rao, Mouni Roy in the lead roles also stars Paresh Rawal, Boman Irani, Gajraj Rao, Amyra Dastur, Sumeet Vyas, Manoj Joshi and Amit Bimrot. The film which is directed by Mikhil Musale and produced by Maddock Films is all set to hit theatres on 25th October, 2019.
