Maa Monday Box Office Update:
Kajol's horror drama Maa saw a noticeable drop in collections on Monday, earning just ₹2.5 crore nett. After a decent weekend, the film’s momentum seems to be slowing down. The total four-day collection now stands at ₹20 crore nett approx.
Maa had a decent to average start and saw some growth over the weekend, but the Monday dip is a sign of concern. It was very much clear after the Sunday number switch fail to show any significant growth. For a film like this to sustain, strong weekday numbers are crucial. Unfortunately, the drop suggests that audience interest may not be strong enough to carry the film much further.

Here is a breakdown of Maa's box office in India:
Friday – ₹4.75 crore
Saturday – ₹6 crore
Sunday – ₹6.75 crore
Monday – ₹2.5 crore
Total – ₹20 crore approx
The film is now struggling to reach the "Hit" verdict. In comparison, other recent releases like Sitaare Zameen Par and F1: The Movie have done better business and are ahead in box office rankings. These films managed to maintain steady numbers throughout the week, something Maa will need to do in order to stay in the race.

The second weekend will now be critical. If the film can hold its ground and avoid further drops, Vishal Furia's directorial might recover some ground. But as things stand, Maa is falling short of expectations, and a successful run looks difficult unless there's a strong turnaround. All eyes on second weekend now.
