He’s made the big leap from television to the big screen and is making his directorial debut with Luv Ka The End. Bumpy aka Nature Baba of Roadies fame is gung ho about his ‘revenge film’ which is actually quite the masala potboiler.
Bumpy says, "It’s a very mainstream film. It has all the elements. It’s got a hero and a heroine. There’s a love story. It has got villains; it has those sidekicks who’re there for comic relief. But it has been treated very differently."
Bumpy emphasises that the premier Y Films production is quite unique. He explains, "It’s a revenge film, it’s a revenge/comedy film and revenge on a timer. The story is about one day. It starts at about 12 in the afternoon and finishes at about 6:30 in the morning the next day.
The dreadlocks sporting, shorts wearing, bespectacled director reveals that he’s given Luv his own special touch. "I have put what I call hillelapanti into the film. There’s a lot of nonsense," he says.
And how would he describe Luv Ka The End? "A chick flick with a lot of balls," says Bumpy as he signs off.
