Love and War Avoids Clash With Toxic:

The much-anticipated film Love and War, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, was earlier announced for an Eid 2026 release. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial was in the headline as it was set to clash with Yash’s Toxic A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, one of the biggest pan-India releases of 2026. However, the latest update suggests that Love and War is likely to vacate the Eid slot, avoiding the high-voltage box office battle.

Sources reveal that Bhansali is taking extra time for the making of the film. With the movie still in production, meeting the March 19, 2026, release date seems unlikely. As a result, the makers are exploring a new release window later in the year to ensure the film gets the attention it deserves.

On the other hand, Yash’s Toxic, directed by Geetu Mohandas, continues to hold its Eid 2026 release date firmly. The film, described as a dark action-drama with Yash in a never seen before avatar, has already begun making  headlines and will launch a full fledged promotional campaign from January 2026. With Love and War moving out of the way, Toxic now has a clearer path at the box office.

The only film still scheduled alongside Toxic is Dhamaal 4, which is expected to cater to a different audience segment and is a smaller film compared to Love and War. If that too shifts, Yash could enjoy a solo release on a major festive weekend, giving Toxic a huge advantage in terms of screen count and box office potential.
